The Irish Cancer Society in partnership with the Association of European Cancer Leagues, hosted the Official Conference for the European Week Against Cancer in the Aviva stadium Dublin on May 29-30, 2013.
The conference was an associated event of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU and was officially opened by the Irish Minister for Health Dr. James Reilly T.D.
This two day conference brought together international evidence and public policies that can reduce the risk of cancer. Professor Peter Anderson, co-leader of the AMPHORA project, participated in the conference, giving an overview of the relationship between alcohol and cancer.
